Obnoxious Songs to Kill Your Enemies By William the Lucky and I started writing these around AS 8. The first ones were done on the way back home from a tournament and quest in Shasta Province ("Shasta Province Had A Grail" and "The Hearses Go Rolling Along"). Once we got started there was no stopping us and we ended up writing two small volumes of songs which we published and sold for 25 cents per volume. We certainly don't claim any particular excellence as song writers of SCA filk. What we did do was pay particular attention to rhyme and scansion so the songs are easy to sing. These songs were deliberately not copyrighted and may be republished anywhere and attributed to us. We would like to receive a copy of whatever publication they are printed in. In addition, I have started a section to include other SCA songs that I like. Please feel free to send me anything you would like to see included in that section and if I like it as well, I will put it in. |
