THE HEARSES GO ROLLING ALONG
In a vale, 'neath a hill,
All the corpses lie so still,
And those hearses go rolling along.
They were slain, died in pain,
Not a one doth now remain,
And those hearses go rolling along.
For it's hie, hie, hee!
At the provincial tourney.
As we count out their corpses loud and strong:
'There's one! and two! and three!'
And where e'er we go
You will always know
That those hearses go rolling along.
Tune: 'The Caisson Song'
