Shasta Province Had A Grail

Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O
And for that Grail they had a quest E I E I O
Searching here; searching there
Here a look; there a look
Under rocks and in the brook.
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

By the brook there stood a troll E I E I O
To cross the bridge, you pay the toll E I E I O
With a riddle here; and a sword fight there
Here a guess; there a crunch
Lose the fight, the troll eats lunch.
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

Past the troll a woodnymph stood E I E I O
Asking riddles in the wood E I E I O
Four legs here; three legs there
Two legs, no legs;
Must be chair!
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

Beyond the nymph there crouched a gnome E I E I O
Close beside his noisome home E I E I O
With a riddle here; and a riddle there
Here a guess; there a guess
Why not kill off such a pest?
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

A magician up the hill E I E I O
Turns you backward with a will E I E I O
With a mutter here and a mutter there
Here a curse; there a curse
(Hang around, the tale gets worse!)
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

Before the Grail an ogre rails E I E I O
Clothed in armadillo scales E I E I O
While his tusks gleamed here; and his hair flopped there
Giving blows; taking blows
In a state of disrepair
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

Our hero found the Grail at last E I E I O
Thought his troubles all were past E I E I O
Coming back; with six pack
Grail in hand, no things he lacked.
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O

Our hero to his sorrow found E I E I O
The long-sought Grail was full of holes E I E I O
With a dribble here; and a dribble there
Here a drop; there a drop
Ale was spilled most everywhere!
Shasta Province had a Grail E I E I O
